than Just a Haulage Firm . . .

| Lagan Transport Ltd. also pops up in the
most unexpected of places. As a well established company, it has,
from time to time, branched out from its traditional cold storage and haulage
services.

Many a Country and Western song has been penned about the long distance
truck driver, so it is perhaps not so surprising that we rear our heads
on the music scene. It is a few years now since one of our trucks
adorned the cover of Philomena Begley’s album ‘Truck Drivin’ Woman’, but
it didn’t stop there. The recently released Joe Moore video and CD,
‘A Friend In Country Music’, features a Lagan Transport Scania, driven
by our very own veteran driver John Conway, thoroughly at home in front
of the camera. Would John care to admit that he was around when Philomena’s
‘Truck Drivin’ Woman’ was a new release? Surely he was just a boy
then! |

Not exactly a sporty profession, we try to
do our bit through sponsorship. We were particularly proud to have
sponsored the Tyrone ladies Gaeilge Football Team, as featured in the weekly
GAA magazine The Hogan Stand. |
