The Managing Director of the company is Gregory Lagan, who will be very happy to assist with any inquiries you may have. His wife, Dympna, oversees the day to day operation of the business, as well as being Finance Director. Their son, Conrad, a Company Director, is a key player in the Transport Operations Department where, along with Transport Managers Paul Kelly and Aidan McParland, they see to all haulage requirements in an efficient and professional manner.
The company prides itself on its customer service. The telephones are manned 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Customer requests and queries are dealt with without delay. Lagan Transport has a substantial fleet of vehicles. Mrs. Lagan stresses the importance of reliable transport in a business that really depends upon it. “You cannot afford to be breaking down when you've got products to deliver and schedules to keep. The bulk of our fleet are Scania trucks with a couple of Volvos thrown in. Scania are the best name in trucks at the minute. We always buy trucks that will stay on the road but they don't come cheap. We don't cut corners when it comes to reliability – it is what we base our business and professional reputation on.”
